Janet and Stephen Shepherd live in Burlington, Iowa, and are passionate about the mission of Hopeful Mama Foundation with a sincere desire that more women can find help through their infertility journey.

Janet has an Ed.D. from Liberty University and serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Southeastern Community College. Stephen, a retired English professor who taught writing in higher education for over 30 years, has an MFA in Creative Writing and has authored eight non-fiction books, a novella, and a collection of short stories.

Stephen who is also a singer/songwriter, has published six albums and is the owner of Circus Girl Records founded in 2004.
